Can Shawn’s Manual physiotherapy approach work even if I have tried massage therapy, chiropractic, and even other physiotherapists and have not been fixed?
Yes, Shawn’s manual physiotherapy treatment approach can help you even if you have not got result from other treatments. My treatment approach uses a combination of manual therapy, manipulation, integrated dry needling, acupuncture, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, myofascial release, therapeutic exercise, education and evidence based practice to get you back to the active life you deserve.
Often it is necessary to receive the combination of above treatments in order to get results. When you go to massage you are only getting massage therapy which often needs to be combined with exercise and other treatment. Other health professionals may only provide manipulation with no exercise. Other physiotherapy clinics may provide only exercises and modalities with no added manual therapy.
Many other things set my treatment approach apart from other from other Physiotherapy clinics in Toronto:
- Full hour sessions with one on one care directly with a Registered Physiotherapist.
- Rare and highly effective Manual Therapy techniques from an internationally recognized post-graduate training program.
- A multifaceted approach to get you back to your active lifestyle quickly.
- Mobile Physiotherapy service that is provided in the comfort of your own home or your office.
Is all manual physiotherapy created equal?
No! A physiotherapist, who has been FCAMPT certified (Fellows of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy), has completed extensive post graduate training and have attained internationally recognized “hands-on” manipulative therapy. Shawn has obtained this post-secondary education, which requires several years of specialized training in manual therapy and has the FCAMPT designation behind his name.
